PHN Journal update: former contractual relationship (e.g., up to 3 per year; promotion of journal). Editor change; journal has moved in a new direction. Letter received from the journal to terminate our relationship, CPHNO response was sent 5/13/2025, no response received to request to have further conversation. CPHNO has begun search for new journal relationship. Important to have a journal relationship for dissemination of and access to scholarly work from the CPHNO member organizations related to public health nursing. Please contact Robin Dawson if you have any suggestions to take back to CPHNO.
Strategic plan update: Historical context: Quad Council established in 1991 by Dr. Stanhope, who just recently passed away. In 2000 name was changed to CPHNO; first strategic plan in 2001. Out latest strategic plan is prepped, out to group for review before final vote at meeting in August.
APHA conversation: CPHNO is financially supporting the Sunday Evening Social with Colleagues: Developing a Diverse PHN Workforce event at the November APHA annual conference in DC.
